INTRODUCING Cr.22b WIRE PROCESSING MACHINE

ARTOS ENGINEERING INTRODUCES Cr.22b WIRE PROCESSING MACHINE

BROOKFIELD, Wis., May 1 – Artos Engineering Company, a Brookfield-based manufacturer of wire processing equipment, has introduced the Artos Cr.22b, a wire processing machine specifically designed for the high demands of the automotive industry, offering faster throughput, set-ups and changeovers.

Based on the popular Cr.22, the unit features a key difference: a belt-driven system designed to provide trouble-free feeding of wire at rates up to 10 meters per second. The offset nature of the belt allows for twice the belt life of competing designs.

“We continue to listen to the needs of the marketplace, this time answering the call with the new Cr.22b,” says John Olsen II, Artos Engineering Company president. “We developed this new unit to run longer wires faster. And at 10m/s, the Cr.22b delivers optimum productivity without stressing more sensitive wire or creating additional wire infeed problems.”

New options available on the Cr.22b include automatic height adjustments of the crimp terminal and two wire straightening stations for fast set-ups and changeovers. These options, combined with the standard quick change tool cart, make the Cr.22b
unmatched in the ease of set-up and fast changeover time, increasing running time and utilization.

Other Cr.22b options include Sencor set-up technology, which automatically sets stripping blade depths and a motorized programmable base that automatically adjusts tooling heights when changing from open to closed-barrel crimping. In addition, self-threading wire loading and tool-free guide changes shorten wire set-up time.
